Decided to do an Epic Stretch!

Hey Guys!

So sorry I have been incommunicado again, despite all my promises.
Well I am going to try and blog more regularly it is always tough for me though.

I am currently 7 weeks Post relaxer and my hair is texlaxed so you can imagin the terror of my hair ( but I do Love my hair).
I decided at 4 weeks that I am going to stretch my hair for 24 weeks ie 6 Months. I have never stretched my hair for that long but I am seriously aiming for MBL (Middle of the Back Length) by December so I am in serious hair growth mode. I also want to retain all the grow, so I have come up with a regime for my dearly beloved hair.

I have taken time to research techniques and products that would make my stretch bearable with the least impact on my hair. I will also be assessing my hair weekly and if I do notice that breakage is occurring I will end my stretch and relax

I will be following a very low manipulation regime by protective styling with the use of braids. I am currently wearing braids which I have carried for 3 weeks and will take down at 4 weeks. I found this amazing girl that works at KLS salon in dolphin, whose really good braiding and her hands were tender on my hair so my braids were not tight. I will stick to her braiding my hair. Whilst in braids I have been moisturizing twice a day with a water and essential oils spray and sealing with eithr almond oil or Vatika enriched coconut oil.
Since I break out with oral hair growth aids, no serious hair vitamins for me. I am however taking prenatal vitamins recommended by fellow blogger productsthatactuallywork.blogspot.com. I actually got tested and was informed I was low on calcium, iron, B3 and vitamin e so taking these in my prenatal pill. I am also going to be using a special oil mix on my scalp made with Castor oil and some essential oils and herbs. Sorry I cannot reveal the recipe as I intend to sell this oil as it aids hair growth.
To prevent shedding during my stretch, I will be incorporating tea rinses or using my water mix of coconut and garlic extract oil. Garlic is great for stopping shedding at its tracks. I have tried to take garlic pills before but all they did was give me breakouts.

I will also be cowashing my hair to maintain my hair's moisture balance and will also be deep conditioning every week.
I intend to put up a break down of my wash days so you can all see how my stretch is going, if I lost hair and tips on what is helping!

Wish me luck everyone!

Luv Furo
